| This page contains many medium to large sized
applications that I wrote in College (excluding applications made for
class, online apps (under Online Apps), Ship Wars and ExamPro apps, and
a couple of others). Most of these applications have been designed in
Visual Studio .NET.
The Common Database System is meant to be a "common resources"
platform for my applications - ASP.NET as well as windows. The CDB, at
the time it was designed, consisted on four pieces of software. The CDP,
or Common Database Processor, is a service that runs on my web server.
The CDPA is an ASP.NET web application that provides an interface to
data that the CDP will process / is processing as well as logged data.
The only "edit" function that the CDPA has is to send e-mail requests to
the CDB/CDP (the CDPA is more of an online data-viewing app). The CDPW
is a windows application that provides an interface with all data in the
CDB, as well as editing and updating capabilities. This application can
be used to manually add any information for the CDP to process. At the
time of its creation, the CDB was designed to provide e-mailing
functionality (including advanced features including recurring e-mailing
and delayed e-mailing); however, the CDB has been implemented to support
the incorporation of additional features with minimal programming
effort.
3D Vector Trajectory
3D Vector Trajectory is just a simple windows application that allows
you to input an initial position, velocity, and acceleration and jerk
for a 3D system and the application will track the object with respect
to time and tell you precisely when the object reaches the 'ground'
again (useful for physics). Click
here to download installer or
here to run
executable on web. Requires .NET Framework 1.1 or higher (get from
Windows Update). Note that this application was just something I wrote
to solve a problem, so it has no input error checking (you'll get
strange errors if you give it info that it doesn't like).
Visual Manager
Visual Manager is a comprehensive, web-based set of applications
designed to facilitate organizational management. In addition to
keeping track of members, meetings, events, committees, and much more,
the application includes automated e-mail reminders, an automatic
attendance system, a public resources component for anonymous users, and
advanced management functionality for administrators of the
organization. The application is database-driven and consists of one
Windows service and five web applications.
Access Point (several versions)
Access Point is designed to offer a secure, reliable way to send,
manage, and retrieve files. Version 4.0 overcame the problem of simple
URL redirections by using binary redirection concepts. Version 6.0 is
the current version and offers integrated e-mail support with the Common
Database System, database-driven binary file storage, conventional file
storage, and much more.
Online Training Center
The Online Training Center is a database-driven web application
designed to create customizable information packets, offer quizzes that
may be taken and reviewed, and much more.
Visual Manager 3i
Visual Manager 3i is an upgrade to Visual Manager (the original).
Some of the upgrades include: member images, integrated help, an
enhanced Windows service to provide behind-the-scene support and
functionality, voting, increased administrator functionality, and a
customized user-level permissions schema (in Visual Manager the
original, only administrators have a customizable permissions schema).
Visual Manager 3i features enhanced integration between the applications
and functionalities and ease of use.
Secure Inventory (SecInven)
Secure Inventory is a network administration solution that discovers,
analyzes, and reports on networked computers using pings, ARP, SNMP, WMI,
WQL, Active Directory and DNS functionality, and more. Secure Inventory
works best in Windows domains where most clients have Windows NT SPK 6
or later. Secure Inventory is intended for intrusion detection,
automated inventory of network devices (such as CPU, RAM, HD, SPK, OS,
and running services information) and analysis of that information (disk
utilization charts and reliability/performance analyzers), and
performance or reliability analysis; however, there are other
less-common uses for it. Click
here for the Secure Inventory site. Apartment Manager (J.A.M.)
Apartment Manager is designed for medium-to-large scale apartment
rental companies (at least 50 apartments). Apartment manager
provides online tenant services, apartment availability information,
rich administrative functionality, automated notifications, and much
more! Click
here for the
Apartment Manager site.
C.S. System (C.S.S.) Confidential as of this time.
Access is restricted to authorized personnel with a username and
password. Click here for
the CS_USER application. Click
here for the CS_DEVELOP
application. Click here
for the CS_ADMIN application. Product Manager (J.P.M.)
Product Manager is designed for small to medium companies involved in
product sales. Product Manager provides management and viewing
utilities for a product catalogue, option management (from shipping to
add-ons), RMA and customer service cases, invoice management, package
and tracking management, payment management, purchase management, and
much more. J.P.M. also has a wide variety of automated and
selective e-mail messages, including shipping notifications, payment
received notifications, and registration notifications. Most of
the application is dynamic, so images, contact information, etc. can be
changed with minimal effort. For the public site, click
here. For the registered user site, click
here. For the admin site, click
here.
Password Generator (Small Application) Click
here to go to the Password Generator Interface for the Common
DataBase System. This application is deployed on this site because
this is the only site that is SSL-enabled. It is not a large (or
even a mid-size) aplication and would not be deployed here if it did not
require SSL. Click
here for the new version. |
