If you would like to use ExamPro.NET or would like a copy of EP++, simply
send me an e-mail and let me know. But first, consider the following when
choosing between ExamPro.NET and EP++.
EP++
EP++ is designed to be implemented in a secure environment, provide maximum
security for that environment, and provide a wide variety of features and
support to facilitate a diverse range of needs, including a complete
statistical analysis package, SID certificates, image and movie binding to
questions, and CA (certificate authority) services for advanced users.
Use EP++ if you have an isolated LAN that is not connected to the internet, if
you want to be able to monitor all connections to the server, if you require
maximum localized control over ExamPro, or if you require some or all of the
additional features / security features available in EP++. EP++ will
work on Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows 2003, Windows 2000
terminal server, and Windows 2003 terminal server. EP++ will also work
on any machine with the .NET Framework 1.1 or higher installed. Note
that EP++ will NOT work on Windows 95 or earlier, Windows 98, Windows 98SE, or
Windows ME due to implemented security features that these operating systems
do not support. In order to use EP++, the server software must be
installed and configured and the client software made available to all
machines that will use EP++.
ExamPro.NET
ExamPro.NET is designed for maximum ease of use and compatibility at the
expense of many advanced features only available in EP++. It is
important to note that since ExamPro.NET runs through a web server, instead of
a server in your LAN, if you authorize a student to take an exam, that student
can give his or her user ID and password to another person and that person can
take the exam anywhere in the world. In order to use ExamPro.NET, all
you need is an administrator account on the web server - then, you can make
exams, administer them, and view the results anywhere (as long as you remember
your user ID and password).
